What MHHF Accomplished 2026

Established and activated a Community Health Council, a unique community engagement model to build health seeking behavior and demand. This initial group of local pastors is advising MHHF and engaging their congregations and the broader community in conversations about health.

Delivered education programs to Community Health Council: linking spirituality and personal health and learning how to engage their church flock in changing health seeking behavior and the importance of personal responsibility for health outcomes.

Created a partnership with a faith-based hospitals in the region to host medical camps, these camps support the Community Council’s emerging leadership role and affirming their ability to make services available in their community.

Acquired a portable ultrasound unit–earmarked donation-to be used at medical camp

Began campaign to spur enrollment in SHA by building trust and understanding through the work of the Community Health Council
